The Detrimental Effects of Standardized Testing By olivia szolack

Standardized testing is wrongly emphasized and results in unnecessary stress put on students and also a negative self-image
The emphasis on standardized testing puts major stress on students to achieve a certain score in order to gain acceptance into college

If students do not achieve a certain score wanted by colleges, they begin to develop a negative self-image and feeling as if they are not good enough

As a result of students feeling that they must obtain a certain score to get into college, stress takes over one's well-being and can majorly impact one's mental health
