Claude OSCAR Monet WILL MOTTLEY B

CLAUDE MONET WAS BORN ON 1840 IN PARIS FRANCE AND DIED ON 1926

CLAUDE FIRST MARRIED Camille Doncieux AND HAD TWO KIDS WITH CLAUDE. SHE LATER DIED IN 1879 AND LATER MARRIED Alice Raingo Hoschedé. Monet was now essentially the new head of a household which included his two sons as well as Alice Hoschede and her six children.

CLAUDE EARNED HIS SKILLS FROM Charles Gleyre A swiss painter. He also attended École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts.

Three personal facts include #1 Monet served in the military. #2 He was a student of Swiss artist Charles Gleyre. #3 His first wife Camille Doncieux features in several of his paintings.

One quote from culade monet is My wish is to stay always like this, living quietly in a corner of nature. Another quote is My life has been nothing but a failure.

Claude monet was an impressionist. An Impressionism is a light, spontaneous manner of painting which began in France as a reaction against the restrictions and conventions of the dominant Academic art. Its naturalistic and down-to-earth treatment of its subject matter, most commonly landscapes, has its roots in the French Realism of Camille Corot and others.

My favorite painting by claude monet is water lilies. I like the different colors he uses and the shades to give the lilies some demention. The texture is used perfectly in this picture below and the green vine uses curved lines to created detention. Plus their is a place of space in the artwork too.

Actual photo Each 6' 6 3/4" x 13' 11 1/4" (200 x 424.8 cm), overall 6' 6 3/4" x 41' 10 3/8" (200 x 1276 cm)

I think claude was just trying to show the beauty in out world with his artwork since most are apart of nature and its beauty. When i look at his artwork is gives me a cool clam feeling with his cool colors. I like the different colors he uses and the shades to give the lilies some demention.
