Perry Top-Sider vs. Nautica By Kevin granfield

Sperry Top-Sider is most famous for their boat shoes, but they also produce many products such as boots, jackets, shirts, and pants.

Nautica produces a variety of ocean-themed items such as hats, jackets, shirts, pants, underwear, swimwear, and shoes. Recently their boat shoes have rivaled those of Sperry Top-Sider.

Sperry advertises online, in magazines, and on TV. They are online and have store locations. Sperry has taken advantage of their trendiness as of late, but a weakness/ threat is that their trends burn out fairly quickly.
Nautica advertises online, in magazines, and on TV as well. They sell online and in stores internationally. One of Nautica's strengths is longevity, but a weakness is that they fail to produce trendy items with frequency.
Sperry is more expensive than Nautica. Nautica also holds more sales and discounts. Examples: A pair of Sperry boat shoes is $94.95. A sperry fisherman sweater is $59.50. A Plaid Fit Shirt from Nautica is $19.99, a Nautica Classic Twill Shirt is $21.99.

My Choice: I think Nautica is the better of the 2 companies. They have more staying power and do not rely on trendiness, and they do more promotion and discounts with a wider variety of items.
