It was a Friday afternoon, my friends and I were all hyped to get off the bus, and to go party at Sean's house, play some street ball, and roam around the town. This was our usual routine for a Friday night, but on this particular Friday something went wrong. The roads were narrow, they were icy, the kids on the bus were quite loud, but not us. We all had headphones in, and we were doing the weird things on our phones that we usually do. By “us” i mean the “Linda gang” but at this time we just call each other bro’s. There is 5 of us, myself, Kole, Johnny, Sean, and Owen. We were pretty savage, and to try to keep ourselves low key, we always messed around. We love street ball, roaming around partying with each other, and blasting music. Were like the five kids who in the summer gather everyone in the neighborhood to do something. Our bus driver Linda hates us because we “act like we're hood”. Every time she says that we laugh. Every time we get off the bus we either go home on Koles golf cart, or we bmx (bike) home. She says the way we blast music, and just the way we ride our bikes makes her mad, but it does not bother us. We have a past with Linda. We will never back down from the things she or anybody else does to us, we stand up for each other in any situation, as so we thought.

Now back to that Friday afternoon. Since the roads were narrow and icy, my driver stopped the bus, and called the sand truck to help her out. Nobody knew why we stopped, so I asked if she needed help, she said no but thanks. I was actually respecting her, but apparently, the bus was misbehaving so police had to come. We usually get home at 3, however today, we got home at 4:15. By the time we got home Sean's parents were home with his little sisters. And then Owen, Sean, and Kole got a call from their parents saying, “Don't go out, come home now you're grounded”. Turns out they were grounded because Linda blamed everything on us five. You might be wondering why Johnny and I didn’t receive a call, that is because our parents already know that we didn't do anything because me and Jonny had been in this situation before and turned out we didn't do anything. Me and Jonny just left thinking no big deal so we went to Johnny's. The next day, the three others were really mad. We went on the bus and we got screamed at, she threatened to bring the police *on the bus*! The three others were scared, so they shut up. Me and Jonny of course know we didn’t do anything so we lived our regular day. After, Linda grabbed me and Jonny and said, “Hey wild childs, aren’t you guys scared that you're gonna get in trouble?’ ‘No cuz we're smart,” we said. She yelled, “GET OFF MY BUS!” It was a week later of misery. Then in school we got called to the office, Mrs. Patten was acting really upset with us, and we were all confused. Me and Jonny started getting really mad because we were losing our best friends because of some silly thing Linda blamed on us. We tried to think of a plan, then later on the bus she brought it up again, and I blurted out “check the security cameras! A lot of people looked at me and were like “WHAT!” I said,” Yeah, check them.” She did not answer and kept driving so the idea to check the cameras was not going to work.

But then we talked to the group and said, “What if we could get Linda to admit it. They said ya that’d be great but it won’t work.” They were negative, but Johnny agreed. Next, I called reinforcements AKA my friend Aden from Fox borough, I knew he would know how to get out of this, and he helped. We payed Owen to talk to Linda for us, so he chatted her up, He said, “Linda remember when you said you were gonna find something big to get Peter in trouble, is this it?” She said, “What do you want”. Then Owen said, “You didn't deny it”. Linda replied, “Gwen get off my bus.” “Okay but you're in a tough position.” She started being nice to us on the way home. Although we still had a punishment, which was no more going backwards on Wednesdays, everything turned out okay. I’m going to guess she thought, and maybe what Owen said made her realize just to forget about it. This really brought us closer as friends, and as a group, because we stood up for each other. That is the story of how me and my best friends stood up for each other.
