Day 1: Chicago, IL
Spend the day exploring the Windy City at your leisure before meeting with your fellow road trippers and your trusted guide for a kick-off reception!
Day 2: Chicago, IL to Springfield, IL
Start your morning with iconic Route 66 photo stops at vintage filling stations before arriving in Pontiac, IL where you'll explore the Route 66 Hall of Fame and the Pontiac Oakland Car Museum. Enjoy included lunch at the historic Palms Cafe in Atlanta, IL before heading down to Springfield, IL for a stop at Lincoln's Tomb and a chance to eat dinner at the Cozy Dog, where the corn dog was invented!
Day 3: St. Louis Sightseeing
Enjoy a trip to the top of the Gateway Arch, a tour of one of America's grandest cathedrals, and a tour of the Budweiser factory.
Day 4: St. Louis, MO to Springfield, MO
Start with a guided tour of Meramec Caverns, a Jesse James hideout, before continuing on to Cuba, MO where you'll enjoy an included lunch at The Four Way, a former Route 66 filling station now finding life again as a charming family-owned restaurant. From Cuba, we'll head to Springfield, MO, with photo stops at the "World's Largest Rocking Chair," Munger Moss Motel, and more...
Day 5: Springfield, MO to Oklahoma City, OK
Take a quick jaunt through Kansas and cross into Oklahoma. We'll head to the Will Rogers Museum in Claremore, OK. From Claremore you'll head to Oklahoma City on a drive packed with roadside attractions like the Blue Whale of Catoosa and POPs Soda Ranch.
Day 6: Oklahoma City sightseeing
Start the morning with a moving tour of the Oklahoma City National Memorial before heading to the National Cowboy Museum. Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing in Oklahoma's hip "Bricktown" neighborhood.
Day 7: Oklahoma City, OK to Amarillo, TX
Your morning begins with a stop at the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum before heading to Erick, OK for a quick stop at the Roger Miller Museum. From Erick, you'll cross into Texas and spend some time exploring Shamrock, TX and the iconic Tower Conoco Station as seen in the movie "Cars." After Shamrock, it's a quick stop at the Devil's Rope Barbed Wire Museum before arriving in Amarillo. Don't get to comfy in the hotel, though... This night you're headed to the Big Texan Steak Ranch for a truly unique Texas-sized dinner experience.
Day 8: Amarillo, TX to Albuquerque, NM
After spray painting your name on the Cadillacs at Cadillac Ranch, head toward New Mexico with stops at the Midpoint Cafe in Adrian, TX, Tucumcari, NM (Home of the Blue Swallow Motel), and the Route 66 Auto Museum of Santa Rosa before arriving in Albuquerque, NM.
Day 9: Santa Fe Excursion!
Take a quick hop up the highway to Santa Fe, one of the most beautiful towns of the southwest. Enjoy a guided city tour and plenty of free time before returning to Albuquerque for included dinner at the 66 Diner.
Day 10: Albuquerque, NM to Flagstaff, AZ
Journey across the desert, the Painted Desert, to be exact and cruise through the Petrified Forest, the only national park to have Route 66 pass through. Make a photo stop at Wigwam Motel before heading to Winslow, AZ where you'll "Stand on the Corner" just like the Eagles song. Finish your day in the charming town of Flagstaff, AZ.
Day 11: Grand Canyon Excursion!
There's no place quite like it! We'll make a quick detour to see this natural wonder before ending in Williams, AZ- a truly one-of-a-kind Route 66 town!
Day 12: Williams, AZ to Barstow, CA
Spend the day going through some of the Route's most memorable towns like Seligman, Hackberry, Kingman, and Oatman (a town literally full of wild burros!)
Day 13: Barstow, CA to Los Angeles, CA
Make your way to Santa Monica where you'll get pictures with the "End of the Trail" Route 66 sign on the pier! After making it to the end, celebrate the accomplishment with your new and old friends at our farewell dinner party!
