Stem Research - Thomas Edison

Full Name - Thomas Alva Edison

This is Thomas Edison

When and Where - Born on February 11, 1847, in Milan, Ohio

Brief Bio - The Cooper Union. In 1866, Thomas Edison worked for The Associated Press. Thomas Edison attended school for 12 weeks, because it was "difficult" to teach him. DO YOU SEE THAT SMILE

Rewards - Thomas Edison has so many has won so many Awards and also made Achievements. He saved little boy's life from oncoming a train. 1928, when he was awarded the Gold Medal for development and application of inventions that have revolutionized civilization in the last century. In 1887, Edison won the Matteucci Medal. All his Inventions are amazing and he kept going until his death. He is the one who lit up the world. Now there is also a award on him The Thomas.A.Edison Award.

Thomas Edison's RECREATED light bulb

Invention - Thomas Edison is most well known for his invention of the light bulb. Contrary to popular belief, Edison did not invent the light bulb; it had been around for a number of years.

The first practical incandescent light bulb. Edison and his team of researchers in Edison's laboratory in Menlo Park, N.J., tested more than 3,000 designs for bulbs between 1878 and 1880. In November 1879, Edison filed a patent for an electric lamp with a carbon filament. No one improved the light bulb.

What the light bulb is like now - We've all gotten to know incandescents quite well over the past 135 years or so, but times are changing. These days, you've got some new lighting categories to familiarize yourself and there are different types of shapes for the light bulbs.

Field of engineering - Electrical engineering. Power engineering. Architectural lighting design is for led light bulbs and so is smart lighting.

This is the kind of light bulbs we have now a days
