Monuments Lesson Plan Finding local history

An essential/driving question: How do monuments, markers, historical buildings and other locations demonstrate primary and secondary sources?

Supplies you will need (Cell Phone, Tablet, Camera, or PC)
Warren, Ohio

Task: You are to seek out 10 historical locations in Warren. When you find one, you are to take a picture of it with your cell phone and upload it to our Drund page (https://warrenraiders.drund.com/#/) . Make sure you caption each picture you upload with the location and your name.

Assessment: Once we have uploaded all of our pictures, you will then use Google Slides to create a Slide version of a "Tourist Guide for Warren, Ohio." You may use your other classmates symbols and pictures. Be sure to give them credit though!

I have linked a great how to presentation below for using Google Slides if you get hung up.

Example of a Travel Guide.

If you do not have access to cell phone, tablet or digital camera you can use Google Earth app below from their computer or at the library to find and zoom on local images. As a last resort, and ONLY after talking to me, you can use Common Licensed photographs..
