SHS beat Perry MERIDIAN 42-21 on Friday Aug. 30.

"I honestly think we did a great job against them other than the second quarter," senior Jordan Tweedy said. "The second quarter was rough but we had some time in the locker room to talk things over and came out in the second half (as) the team we truly are."

"Rival games mean more, and teams play out of their mind so for our team to respond the way we did, I was very happy," Lezon said.

"The energy was great, the fans were into it and the student section was great also," Yates said. "That was probably one of the most exciting games I've ever played in."

"It was a great feeling to beat Perry, especially during senior year," senior Jessica Johnston said. "Overall it was a really exciting night and a fun game to watch, and I'm so glad I got to be a part of it."

"I think the energy against Perry is very intense and aggressive, but also fun and light-hearted," junior Christian Conway said.

"The energy throughout the whole game was electric," senior Lydia Springer said. "Everybody in the stands were so excited whenever we got a touchdown or a good play that it really made the game more enjoyable and helped keep the energy up the whole time."

"I was a little worried about the score at halftime, but we were able to pull through and defeat Perry once again." King said.
