Effects of Drinking Too Much Water

When you are doing this challenge you have to be careful. You have to make sure that you are not drinking too much water and make sure that you not drinking it too fast. Drinking too much water can cause Water intoxication and drinking it too fast can cause kidney problems. What are the symptoms of overhydration?

  • nausea and vomiting
  • headache
  • changes in mental state such as confusion or disorientation
  • muscle weakness, spasms, or cramps
  • seizures
  • unconsciousness
  • coma

Effects of Drinking a Gallon of Water a Day

Even though drinking too much water is unhealthy, drinking an gallon a day can help in a major way. It is a common recommend to drink 8-12 eight ounce glasses of water a day. You may need more more water if the weather is hot or cold. After or before intense exercise can also effect how much water you should be drinking.

My Experience

My Experience of the 30 day water gallon challenge went well. All throughout the the whole month i would have to pee about every 15-25 minutes. In the beginning i had to slow down because I almost drank the entire gallon before One O'clock. I notice after the first week i wouldn't get as tired walking around the campus. After week two i saw that my skin was getting a lot better and shiny. After awhile it became easier to drink the gallon. The only thing a hated from this was always having to use the bathroom a lot
