Who is ready to POWER UP!?

Special Olympics North Carolina is excited to welcome so many new Unified Champion Schools as participants in our Unified fitness program Partner Up Power Up! We now have over 500 participating Unified Champion Schools across the state!

By participating in Partner Up Power Up as a Unified Champion School, you will qualify for future funding and resources, including free promotional materials to host a Spread the Word: Inclusion rally at your school! Check out all of the fantastic resources on our website!

Special Olympics North Carolina will begin distributing welcome packets, playbooks and fitness equipment on February 17. Schools will receive their materials one of two ways:

1. Your local program coordinator has set up a distribution day for you to pick up your materials from them.
2. Materials will be shipped directly to your school.

Partner Up Power Up begins March 2! NEW THIS SPRING: Student leaders from across the state will host live fitness trainings Tuesday and Thursday 10:30-11 a.m.! Register in advance for these trainings. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Our Special Olympics College Clubs are also hosting social nights every other Friday at 6 p.m. beginning March 12.

This year's Plunge season is going to look a little different.

One thing remains the same: Your support is so important!

We're inviting schools to find their freeze and take the Plunge in their own way! You could plunge into a pool, an ice bath, the ocean, dump a frigid bottle of water over your head or even run through sprinklers. Record your creative videos using #findyourfreeze or submit them to plunge@sonc.net.

To plunge, you only need to raise $50. That’s it, but why stop there?

Join us for Polar Plunge Week - February 21 – 26!

Raise $50 and earn the Plunge in Place T-shirt. Raise $100 and receive the commemorative hoodie. The more you raise, the more you earn! Check out the awesome incentives.

Schools can register two ways: Visit ncplungeinplace.com to register as an individual and find your local Special Olympics' county team or contact UnifiedSchools@sonc.net to set up your own school's fundraising page!
