Hello Maple Families, I hope you had a great weekend and are staying safe! Please take a moment and read our classroom scribbles. We are having a lot of fun learning a lot of new things. We had working with the St. Patrick's theme as you can see in the pictures. We will start with Art:
The children has so much fun making a colorful St. Patricks handprint pot. They also made a wonderful rainbow made out of cotton and froot loops, which they enjoyed a lot. We also made a shamrock with green paper and we used green paint to color St. Patrick.
The children continue to learn to transfer water from one cup to another. They have a lot of fun learning how to transfer the little balls with the tweezers.
The toddlers continue to learn the alphabet. They have so much fun with connecting objects with the object pictures, as you can see below. The children enjoyed learning the vocabulary about the St. Patrick's Day as well.
The children are learning the basic geometric shapes as well as the colors. They enjoyed memorizing their friends name with their pictures. The knob cylinder help the toddlers practice their dominant hand for fine motor skill. The children learn the different sizes of the knob cylinder. The children had a lot of fun with out St. Patrick's sensory box. They were able to feel the different St. Patrick objects and were able to find the gold coins! :)
The toddlers continue to learn the numbers from 1-10. We have some great St. Patrick theme math activities, such as the lucky leaf/coin counting and matching with the right number. The toddlers enjoyed the beginning of our spring unit, which was counting bunnies and match them to the right number to either the carrot or egg.
For this weeks food preparation, we made some delicious fruit salad. Here are the fruits we used:
Strawberry, grapes, banana, apple, orange, and blueberry
The children had an amazing time with their friends collecting easter eggs and much morel. They had a great time collecting eggs. :)
