Because you deserve the best. It is of utmost importance to me that you are taken care of through every stage of your time with me. This includes the planning process, all the way through product delivery.

I choose to offer a full-service session experience to everyone who walks through my door. What this means to me, is providing you with service and care that is unmatched with anything you may have experienced before.

My specialty lies in capturing the truest form of you. I will preserve this season of your life with candid, honesty imagery. I am attentive during the shifts, find beauty in transition, and allow your story to unfold naturally, giving you an end-product that is real and authentic. I believe that your life's story is a work of art and it's meant to be re-lived, cherished, and shared with the world. With every session I offer tangible keepsakes which will allow you to re-live this fleeting time in your life for years to come.

Stories come to life when you can re-live them each day, it would be my greatest honor to tell yours.

"Take care of all of your memories, for you can not relive them." - Bob Dylan

What sets you apart from other photographers? I am one of the most emotional people you'll ever meet. What this means is, I am emotionally connected to you as people, and to the memories captured during your session. I invest my whole heart into ensuring everything goes smoothly for you. This connection allows me to see things that others may over look; the unposed, in-between moments. I love to have fun and encourage you to be playful and relaxed while interacting with your loved ones. I use natural lighting as often as possible, and encourage you to interact as you would on a regular day, and provide guided posing as needed.

I offer a full-service experience, including a planning consultation, client-exclusive style guide, and a viewing + ordering appointment to help you choose the photographs you’d like to display in your home.

So how much is this going to cost? Your investment will depend entirely on which products bring your vision to life, and are the best fit for your space. Most clients will invest in at least one statement piece for the wall/walls of their home, one storytelling piece (like an album, folio box, or keepsake box), and then any gifts needed for friends and family. On average, my clients invest between $1200-$3200 on their session experience.

I'm not located in Rochester, do you travel at all? YES, I absolutely love to travel! I have an adorable little dependent, so I'd need some notice to get everything in order, but if there's a special location you're set on, nothing will deter me from joining you. There will be an additional fee to cover travel expenses and this will vary, depending on where you go and the time of year.

What is your shooting style? I love to be both interactive and discrete. I love getting to know you and interacting to ensure everyone feels comfortable in front of the camera. I will gently direct you with posing, but overall I will act as a fly on the wall documenting your most intimate and natural expressions.

Do I have to order prints through you? It is of utmost importance to me that you're taken care of through every part of your time with me, and that includes delivering the best quality product. I take great pride in the editing and color processing of my images. In order to ensure you receive quality products that last, I encourage you to purchase your prints, products, and collections through my studio. You will receive the matching digital file, printable up to 8x10, with any print or art piece purchased along with a personal-use print license.

Where you print matters. (top) original digital imagery, (bottom left) printed at popular drug stores + shops (walgreens, costco, shutterfly, etc.), (bottom right) final framed product delivered by JMEG Photography.

How long does it take to get my images back? You will receive your images at your viewing and ordering appointment which will take place 1-2 weeks after your session date. This is where you will see your images for the first time. Products do take an additional 3-5 weeks to be delivered.

What equipment do you use? I love my Canons! I always carry the 5D Mark 3, as well as a variety of lenses. Most days, I am equipped with: 50mm 1.2, 35 mm 1.4, and 85mm 1.8.

When is the best time of the day for a session? This depends on a lot of things. Most of my sessions take place on-location, so I usually recommend very first thing in the morning (I'm talking sunrise) or late afternoon, right before sunset. Once we determine the date of your session, I can give you the appropriate session time to assure the best lighting for your session experience.

If you're planning an in-home session, the timing is a little more flexible. In fact, giving the sun longer to rise can sometimes be a good thing, as it can mean more light inside. If we're organizing an in-home session, watch the light in your home during different times of the day and let me know if there's a special window of magic - dappled light on the bedroom wall or sunshine pouring in through the kitchen window. We can absolutely work with that.

Can you do mid-week sessions? Yes. I really enjoy working mid-week, as it means I can be home with my fiancé and babies on the weekend. : ) Afternoon and evening sessions are my jam and I can also rock early morning sessions - there's something enchanting about those first waking moments that cannot be matched by any other time of the day. (The best hours for a session is dependent on the season and the time the sun rises and sets in our part of the world. We'll chat logistics when you book.) If you have a day of the week or specific time that's best for you, please ask - we'll see what we can work out.

Can you do parties or events? I sure can. Send me a message and let me know what you have in mind.

Do you photograph births? YES! In fact, it is my specialty and one of my favorite things to document. If you are interested in documenting your birth story, you can find more information on my birth story services here!
