Isaac Gunaseelan #3 Joshua 1,6,23,24

Chapter 1: Moses had recently died and God talked to Joshua. God told Joshua before they were going to cross the Jordan river, he told him to be strong and courageous. And all the people started to listen to Joshua after this.

Chapter 6: In this chapter the Israelites conquered Jericho. God told them to walk around the city walls once for six days and blow the trumpets when he tells them to. And they sent in 2 spies that were sheltered by Rahab. Then the trumpets blew and Rahab and her family where taken out because they had helped. Jericho was burned and whoever tries to rebuild it will be cursed.

Chapter 23: In this chapter Joshua was old and well advanced, he gave instructions to elders,leaders, judges and officers. He told them that their tribes have inheritances and obey the book of law that Moses wrote. He also wrote that they should always stay with the Lord and not befriend the survivors of the other nations or else they will be like snares and traps to them.

Chapter 24: In the start of the chapter Joshua spoke the Lord's words to the people which was a summary of what God had done for Israel. After this they promised to not forsake the Lord and had a rock as a witness. After this Joshua asked to be left alone and died at the age of 110. He was buried at Timnath Serah.
