Duke Reunions Weekend

April 13-15, 2018

During one record-breaking weekend, more than 4,400 alumni returned to Duke to reunite with classmates, make new friends and see a changing Duke campus.

Follow along as alumni help us create a digital memory book!

SO MANY HUGS!!!
"The new "Hideaway" is inarguably cooler than the old Hideaway." — Russell Glass '98

Fun Fact: The Hideaway was Duke's former student bar — now brought back to life as the Devil's Krafthouse and located in the same part of the building where the original once stood.

#MyDukeMoment Recreation

Every year, DAA selects a group of Blue Devils returning for Reunions Weekend to recreate a favorite Duke memory. This year's winners were a group of alumnae from the Class of 1988.

"The week before we graduated in 1988, we created our own special day at Duke. We called it "Field Day." Two of us painted the Cleland Bench the night before. We called ourselves the CHC (for Cleland House Council, because many of us were on the House Council of the Cleland Dorm). There are 13 of us. Thirty years later, we still write a newsletter to each other every other month. We have attended each other’s weddings, second weddings, kids' soccer and baseball games, and tragically, the funeral of one of our husbands. We have consumed thousands of beers all over the world, run a marathon together, and created “Shower by Mail” baby showers for our kids. We live all over the country but have attended every five-year reunion together since we left." — Karen Dolfis Wehner '88
"Happy to be a part of President Price’s first #DukeReunions with my fellow reunion co-chair, Ed Joullian '13. — Todd Zafirovski ‘13, MMS ‘14, who took over the @DukeAlumni instagram account for the weekend.
"It’s no wonder he walked away from this weekend wanting to play basketball for Duke!" — Alice Palmer '98
"Went to our reunion and watched Molly crush motherhood." — David Kuritsky '08, talking about his wife, Molly McGarrett Kuritsky '08, and their son, Gabe.
Flashback: "Did the Chapel Climb as a senior 10 years ago and it was such a memorable experience. I can't wait to come back this weekend!" — Daphne Delgado '08
#DukeSpring is the perfect backdrop for Reunions. We send MANY thanks to the West Campus Landscape Service team and to the Duke Alumni Association staff, who worked tirelessly to produce a scene for all to enjoy!
