Duke Reunions Weekend
April 13-15, 2018
During one record-breaking weekend, more than 4,400 alumni returned to Duke to reunite with classmates, make new friends and see a changing Duke campus.
Follow along as alumni help us create a digital memory book!
"Getting lost in spring flowers & memories: 5 years, 12 countries, a couple of languages and countless memories later, it’s good to be back." — Latrice Coleman '13
Lady Blue invited alumnae to join members on stage to perform "Faith" by George Michael — a tradition of the a cappella group since 1991.
Every year, DAA selects a group of Blue Devils returning for Reunions Weekend to recreate a favorite Duke memory. This year's winners were a group of alumnae from the Class of 1988.
"The week before we graduated in 1988, we created our own special day at Duke. We called it "Field Day." Two of us painted the Cleland Bench the night before. We called ourselves the CHC (for Cleland House Council, because many of us were on the House Council of the Cleland Dorm). There are 13 of us. Thirty years later, we still write a newsletter to each other every other month. We have attended each other’s weddings, second weddings, kids' soccer and baseball games, and tragically, the funeral of one of our husbands. We have consumed thousands of beers all over the world, run a marathon together, and created “Shower by Mail” baby showers for our kids. We live all over the country but have attended every five-year reunion together since we left." — Karen Dolfis Wehner '88
"Happy to be a part of President Price’s first #DukeReunions with my fellow reunion co-chair, Ed Joullian '13. — Todd Zafirovski ‘13, MMS ‘14, who took over the @DukeAlumni instagram account for the weekend.
"It’s no wonder he walked away from this weekend wanting to play basketball for Duke!" — Alice Palmer '98
"Back at it 🙌🏻 in the best place." — Anna Sheehy '13
"A cancelled redeye flight and 2 hour delay couldn't keep me away from my alma mater. Our 15 year reunion made me so grateful for my college time. What a rush of good memories and times! I caught up with friends old and new and everyone looks amazing. Duke will always be my second home." — Ife Onyeacholem '03
"Celebrating the end of a successful five-year reunion weekend with old friends & met new friends celebrating their 50th reunion. Class of 2013💙 Class of 1968. We’ll be recreating this photo in five years — we’re on the same reunions cycle after all." — Latrice Coleman '13
