Inverted Minds, a fusion of nostalgic elements, exploring a variety of unique sonic textures. Being influenced by organics and electronic beats with deep tribal elements, Roger and Matty have been playing at numerous events and venues across the East Coast of Australia, including festivals such as Elements, Rabbits Eat Lettuce and Bohemian Beatfreaks. The performance includes Live Saxophone with touch-base Dynamic & Psychedelic Effects, inducing to a journey inside feelings and emotions, colors and lights, leading to a unique music experience!
Roger Grassi
Hailing from Sao Paulo (Brazil), Roger Grassi first stepped onto the scene as an anonymous artist and quickly gained traction with his focus on underground dancefloor material, fusing nostalgic elements exploring a variety of unique sonic textures, from synth laden to deep, progressive and organic house. Since bursting onto the Gold Coast underground scene as a founding member of Secret Garden parties in 2008, he became a resident DJ in the most famous nightclubs and festivals around the City. Last year he had his first appearance in Bohemian Beatfreaks Festival, playing 2 sets, one as Roger Grassi, and one featuring Crafting Sounds (a parallel project). In 2020, with great honour he was part of Earth Frequency Festival for the first time, performing at LOVE stage in a magical night. The DJ was also in the line up of Bohemian Beatfreaks and Rabbits Eat Lettuce.

Charisma along with his solid sets are his trademark, and he can claim to be one of the veterans to introduce Progressive and Techno into the electronic scene on the Gold Coast. Today it is common to see his name on the best venues in the city, such as Elsewhere, NXTLVL, SubRosa, Coco Republic (Byron Bay), Flow Session (Byron Bay), El Primo, Lost Festival NYE, Island of Syn, Our Room, ARCADE, Rabbits eats Lettuce, Earth Frequency and more. With much respect and hard work, he has been making himself more prominent in the electronic scene, having his name linked in some of the best festivals in Australia.
Crafting Sounds / Matty Sax
Matty is a passionate musician blending the classic genres of Disco, Jazz, and Funk with contemporary House Music, Techno, and Melodic vibes. With more than 10 years of experience playing and studying music, Matty takes the crowd on a musical journey, making them feel the energy of sound, bringing emotions of happiness, bliss, and vitality.
Matty has been performing in venues and large-scale events for the past five years in over 70 venues across Australia, playing at numerous music festivals including Elements, Bohemian Beatfreaks, and Lost Festival. During his journey, completed tours across the East Coast, performing in cities such as Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, and Melbourne.
The musician was awarded a scholarship to complete the Bachelor of Music Production at the internationally recognized institution SAE Byron Bay, where he is building an amazing network collaborating with incredible local talents! As well as having a huge repertoire of multi-genre live performances, he has an extended knowledge in music theory, arrangement composition, music technology, sound design, effects, recording, and production techniques.
Fully dedicated to music, improving creative skills, and highly regarded in the local music scene, Matty promises to share the joy of music and entertain the audience, taking them through a journey of meticulously crafted sounds and memorable melodies!
