Current Message Series

A New Year brings many new opportunities - and challenges. As for the challenges, they bring concern, worry, and perhaps even fear. It's for the challenges we may face that we're continuing in our series called "TOMORROW" where we learn to face the 'stuff of life' with rock solid confidence. Our focus on Sunday will be ... Faithfulness.

With the conclusion of our message series called 'Tomorrow" this Sunday, Communion will be served. All are invited to Christ's table to receive in faith what Christ freely offers through the Sacrament.

Don't forget, we're hoping everyone can bring at least one can of soup on Souper Bowl Sunday. All cans of soup received will help restock the food pantry at The Oak Mountain Mission.

Youth will meet at the Bailey Home (160 Oaklyn Hills Drive) at 5 PM and will end at halftime of the Superbowl. Please bring a dish to share.

FREE SOUP SUPPER continues each Thursday

"Thursday Soup Nites" hosted by the Women's Coffee Group continues this Thursday. Soup" will be served between 5 and 7 p.m. at the church on 2/9, 2/16, and 2/23. Join us for soup and good fellowship, and please invite a family member, friend or neighbor to join us. Grilled cheese sandwiches will be available for those little ones who are not into soup!! February 16 will be an Italian Spaghetti Nite. So get out your favorite recipe, get it hot, and make plans to join us....

We may have the opportunity to partner with the people of our Community of Faith and "Eyes Wide Open Ministries" with a mission trip to southeast Guatemala. The proposed dates for the trip would have a team departing on Saturday, June 3, 2017, and returning on Saturday, June 10, 2017. If you are interested in taking part in this special ministry effort and would like more information, please contact Pastor Mark.

Anyone interested in Children's Ministry are invited to meet THIS Sunday, February 5th at 3:00pm. We will be planning Easter activities and VBS.

We're kicking off a new message series that will run February 12 & 19. Make plans to join us!!

February 26

Master Potter and Living Chalk Artist Keith Carpenter will be with us on Sunday morning, February 26, 2017. Keith will be demonstrating a special technique known as "Living Chalk" when he shares God's Word with us during the 9:00 AM Worship Experience. During the 11:00 AM Worship Experience, Keith will share "Lessons from the Potter's Wheel" from the Book of Jeremiah as he makes several vessels before our eyes and describes how God is the Master Potter and we are the clay when we give our lives to God. Keith will also bring select pottery pieces (such as his famous State Santa ornaments and hand made crosses) for purchase. You can check out Keith's ministry by following the link below....
