CANDID [kan-did] (of a photograph of a person) taken informally, especially without the subject's knowledge. "it is better to let the photographer mingle among the guests and take candid shots" - Google.

Hello & Welcome to my 2017 Candid Documentary Wedding Brochure. I'm a Cheshire-based contemporary wedding photographer specialising in candid documentary photography and from behind my lens and with my amazing people watching skills I'll tell the stories from your wedding day through real moments in beautiful authentic pictures.

I'll work hard from bridal preparations through to dancing to create stunning sequence of creative documentary portraits for you. I'll be right in the thick of your wedding - in and among your guests, telling the story from the very heart - not from the outside looking in.

My style of photography will give you freedom to enjoy your wedding day without any interruptions from your photographer.

Traditional wedding photography puts the emphasis on the’posed’ photograph and is all about the tradition. Candid (or documentary) photography allows you to break away from tradition as much or as little as you want. It is the art of capturing moments which unfold organically during the day. - without any manipulation of a scene from your photographer.

Some photographers choose to fuse the two styles, but aside from couple portraits, I will not stop the day once- resulting in pictures that tell the story of your day with complete and genuine authenticity.

Examples of traditional wedding photography are staging a cutting of the cake or staging a signing of the register. Anything staged by the photographer really! Of course that doesn't mean you can't cut the cake or sign the register.. I'll still photograph it if it happens - I just won't set the shot up.
