Career history

Business Development Director July 2016 – Present

Fresh Egg is a 70 person strong digital agency which offers services including Analytics & Insight, Conversion Optimisation, Technical SEO, Online Advertising, Design/Development & Content Marketing. Clients include enterprise and mid-level organisations across various verticals, including: banking, travel, retail, automotive, professional services.

In a team of 3, role includes operating in a highly consultative approach with senior to C-level decision makers, identifying areas of need within their digital transformation strategies and providing relevant solutions. Working alongside internal heads of department & board to provide bespoke marketing solutions.

Successfully implemented new-business sales strategy, e-marketing campaigns, created materials such as credentials decks for each service area, case studies and new proposal formats. Managed key partnerships, developed and managed from start to finish successful strategic tender submissions, brought on new clients such MoneySuperMarket, Capita, NHS, Euromoney, Kings College London, from cold.

Commercial Director December 2013 – December 2015

Net Natives is the UK’s leading digital marketing agency to Education and Public Sectors. 80 staff providing digital services predominately focused around paid performance advertising, creative & technology.

As commercial director sat on a board of 3, was responsible for crafting the commercial strategy both UK and abroad, and achieving the revenue & profit targets. Also acted as Account Director for key clients.

Built and managed a team of 15 across UK, USA & Australia, overseeing financial growth of circa 55-60% per annum consistently, whilst increasing company average order value accordingly.

Main duties:

  • Responsible for setting and achieving overall company revenue target
  • In charge of leading and developing the management team across business sectors, within UK and overseas markets
  • Recruited, developed and managed a team of c15 all revenue generating, including lead generators / appointment setters, account managers / directors, heads of department & support
  • Developed the company commercial strategies for each sector
  • Identified new market opportunities and led the charge
  • Account director for larger and complex clients / contracts / projects
  • Achieving personal revenue target £1m+ pa consistently
  • Developed end to end digital customer acquisition strategies for clients
