The Egyptians worshiped many gods and goddesses, they where polytheistic. Some of the gods and goddesses they worshiped where Amon, Ra, Nut, Geb, Ptah, Anubis, Amon-Ra, and many more.

They wrote all sacred writings in hieroglyphics. The word hieroglyphic comes from the Greek adjective ἱερογλυφικός (hieroglyphikos). Hieroglyphics are basically picture writings. There are about 1,000 distinct hieroglyphics.

Ankh

This symbol stands for everlasting life. The Ankh was a hieroglyphic.

Pharaoh

Egyptian Pharaohs where considered to be part god. In old and middle Egypt, when pharaohs died they where put into tombs. The tombs are one of the 7 wonders of the world. Pharaohs where mummified in stone. The first real pharaoh was Narmer, also sometimes called Menes. The last pharaoh was Cleopatra the VII.

The Sphinx are located southeast of the Pyramids. 29°58′31″N 31°08′15″E are the exact coordinates. The sphinx has the head of a human, the haunches of a lion, and sometimes the wings of a bird. The sphinx is in the Greek religion as well as with the egyptian.

This is a picture of the Great Pyramids of Giza. The Pyramids are one of the most well known Egyptian Tombs. The Great Pyramid of Giza is 455' tall. The Pyramid was made using 2.3 million blocks which are thought to be transported from nearby quarries.

Bread

Bread was a staple food in ancient Egypt. Bread is made by combining flour, water, and yeast in most cases. without the yeast, it creates flatbread. Egyptians ate flatbread for most of history. Bread is made from a dough. You knead the dough, let it rise, then put it in a loaf pan to bake.
