A LOOK AT THE LYONS

Under the direction of interim head coach Anthony Tranghese, the 2018 Lyons will make their debut on Saturday, September 1st against the Sharks of Simmons College. MHC returns 15 players from the 2017 squad, including juniors Hannah Finn-Erb and Minerva Veeser-Bobea, both recorded nine points which was second overall on the squad

  • Minerva Veeser-Bobea - 4 goals, 1 assist, 9 points

A LOOK AT THE LYONS

The Mount Holyoke College volleyball team is back in action under the leadership of second-year head coach Iris Carpio. MHC put together a 10-12 mark during the regular season, which included a dramatic 3-2 win at WPI in NEWMAC action. The Lyons return eight players from last year's squad, including the conference leader in blocks per set, junior Sasha Simine.

TOP RETURNERS

  • Sasha Simine - Posted squad-best 208 kills. Also paced the team with a .328 hitting percentage, a team-high 2.70 kills per set average, 80 total blocks and a 1.04 blocks per set average.
  • Jamesa Allen - Finished second in total kills with 167, posting a 2.17 kills per set margin.
  • Cameron Graham - Had squad-high 316 digs last season.
  • Brayden Walden - Recorded 460 assists during rookie campaign.

A LOOK AT THE LYONS

Second-year head coach Chris Kibler leads the Lyons into 2018 with an impressive roster. In addition to the 10 returning runners from last season, MHC has added 11 newcomers for the fall as they look to make an impact amongst the NEWMAC.

  • Corrin Moss - Crossed the line as the Lyons top finisher in all seven races last season.

A LOOK AT THE LYONS

The 2018 Lyons, led by 21st-year head coach Andy Whitcomb, returns from its international preseason training trip in Australia to take on the task of returning to the conference playoffs once again. Back on the field are 15 returning players, along with a solid class of 11 newcomers.

  • Mirjam Keochakian - 9 goals, 9 assists, 27 points
  • Colby Newsham - 9 goals, 6 assists, 24 points
  • Morgan Turner - 11-6, 1.77 GAA, .724 sv%, 3 shutouts
