Sibling relationships BY Grace comer

The topic I chose for my photo essay is spending time, or living with my siblings. I chose this topic because my everyday life includes my siblings. I am always surrounded by them. We have dinner together, watch movies, go on trips, drive together, and I even help my younger siblings with their school work. They are a big part of my life and I wanted to portray that meaning of importance through my photos.

Behind the photos are our daily lives, and can show simple meanings. The conceptthat family is number one is a huge part of the message. I want others to see that family is a huge part of someone’s life, and that they are going to be there for you like no one else. Even if you get mad or frustrated you will always come back to them because they are family. In the photos we didn’t go to amazing places or fancy dinners. Most of my pictures are of me and my siblings spending time together at home, or on a trip together.

I hope that the people who view my photos will be enlightened to remember to spend quality time with the ones you love. We don’t have forever with them, but we do have time now. For example my brother is going to college soon, and I will soon be gone to. The time we spend together will be limited to special occasions, and school breaks. I want to make the most out of the time we have together, and even doing the smallest things together can help me accomplish that. The little things you do together can have the biggest impact on your life. I also want people to be entertained by the goofy, loving, and close relationship my siblings and I share. We may get annoyed by each other, but we always come back together. In the end my pictures portray the life I live with my siblings, and demonstrate that little moments together can be the most important part.-Grace Comer
