Thrasio’s Talent Acquisition team created this helpful guide for candidates to navigate our hiring process with ease. Offering a seamless interview process is critical to effectively attract and identify people who demonstrate our core values. We strive to have a diverse and inclusive community of Thrashers from entry to executive level.
Step one: Career motivators
Time for a little self reflection.
What skills and experience do you want to bring to your next role? What type of work or projects get you excited? What environment and culture suits you best? What is your dream job?
Our goal is to hire for the long term. Yes, we aim to fill the positions available today, but we want you to feel fulfilled and excited about coming to work each day, so we ask you to think about what drives you as you explore Thrasio as the next step in your career.
Step two: Get to know Thrasio!
Visit our website, check out our Newsroom, watch a few videos. View our BuiltIn profile. Learn about working at Thrasio directly from our employees on our Glassdoor page.
Browse our careers page and learn more about the current openings.
Step three: The Application
Time to prepare your resume! We know there are thousands of blogs out there where you can learn to write a rockstar resume, but we’ll put in our two cents: tailor your resume so it concisely highlights your accomplishments and relevant experience.
At Thrasio, we love to see candidates pursue our opportunities in a thoughtful manner. We kindly ask that you apply to no more than 3 positions within a rolling 45 day period. We recommend narrowing your choices down to a few jobs that truly match your skills, experience, and interests. Please know that our Talent Acquisition team makes it a best practice to review your application for an overall fit within Thrasio.
The Cover Letter: While we don’t require you to submit a cover letter with your application, there is a spot to include one if you’d like.
Your application will be reviewed by a Recruiter in detail. We aim to get back to you as quickly as possible, but with that said we are actual humans behind the scenes, not automated robots, and sometimes it takes us longer than we’d like! If you do not hear from us in a month, it’s likely best to assume we are not moving forward.
If you are not selected for an interview this can be a result of timing and competition with other talent, rather than a reflection of your skills or qualifications. So if things don’t work out with your first application, don’t let that stop you from applying to roles in the future.
Step four: The Phone Screen; an Intro to Thrasio
If a Recruiter determines you may be a potential match for one of our positions, you will be contacted for a phone interview. This is a “get to know each other” style interview.
Our Recruiters tend to take a fluid approach to the conversation, evaluating your candidacy as a general Thrasio fit, as well as to the specific position you are applying for. It’s possible that we may discover a new opportunity within the organization that could be a better fit and if that’s the case, we will recommend you connect with another team member to discover another career path at Thrasio. Given Thrasio’s growth, we have several teams that are hiring and scaling so this fluid approach is meant to help you (and us) find the best fit!
Step five: Evaluation
The structure of your interview process will differ based on which department/team you’re meeting with. Your Recruiter will give you the rundown of the interview process and next steps during the initial phone interview or outlined in an email. Here are some of the methods we use to assess candidates in our hiring process, though not all of these may apply to your role:
Virtual Interviews: You will typically meet 2 to 5 Thrashers over video to learn more about the position, the team and to provide us context on your career background and career motivations.
- Every candidate is assessed using clear rubrics to ensure everyone being considered for that position is evaluated fairly.
- We use a behavioral interview approach with open-ended questions so we can hear examples of your relevant past experiences.

Skill Assessment: You may be asked to complete a project prior to interviewing with the hiring team. Examples include a writing prompt, design projects, coding test, analytical/excel tests, case study scenarios, etc. Assessments help us understand the depth of your skill sets and how you approach problems, scenarios, and/or deliver results.
Presentation: You may be asked to present your skill assessment or case study with the interview team or to provide an example of something you’ve already worked on in your career.
Reference Checks: We use a survey tool to administer reference checks in the final stages of the hiring process. Typically we ask for a mixture of current or former managers, colleagues, and/or direct reports.
Step six: Decision and Offer
After your interviews, the team will debrief to go over feedback and make a hiring decision. We aim to get back to candidates either way within a week of their last interview, but sometimes the timeline does extend up to two weeks.
If you are selected for the position, congratulations! Your recruiter will extend you a verbal offer over the phone and will provide a written offer letter and a snapshot of our benefits package so you are equipped to make an effective career decision.
Once you’ve accepted the offer, we will kick off a Background Check.
Finally, our onboarding team will be in touch with you before your start date to guide you through the next steps. We can’t wait to welcome you to the Thrasio family!
