Vancouver Why was it buIlt where it was?

It was built for a sea port in British Columbia along the west coast which has made travel and trade much easier because big barges come in everyday.
The city was built on a flat island area at the bottom of the mountains.This has made it much easier to expand and build.One problem they experience is flooding from the little rivers and mountains.
The climate is very mild because it is along the Mediterranean Sea which means they have mild winter and warm summers.One problem theyexperience is drought during the summer.
Some natural resources in Vancouver are logging,fisheries,and water power.One way the ecomony of Vancouver is helped lots is being able to have free electricity by the water power and also they export lots of fish for money.
