When I got into the museum, I was attracted by a large map. Besides the map, I saw the introduction"One of the most Extraordinary visual documents from eighteenth-century Italy is this engraved map of Rome published in 1748, on twelve separate plates intended to be joined together as they are here, following designs by the surveyor Giovanni Battista Nolli." The author prepared twelve years for this map, and it covers eight square miles of the city.
I saw some big maps on TV before, but when I came to the maps, I found it was really different. Every detail is shown in this map to me, so I can completely appreciate the beauty of this art. I can see the great efforts and perfectionism from this map. The spirit of the craftsman deserves me to respect and learn from.
