Conrad Bi-Weekly Memo October 22nd, 2021

Principal's Message

Thank you!

I want to take a moment to thank our Staff, Parents, Families, and most importantly, our Student Body for a safe and successful Spirit Week/Homecoming. We were excited to bring back a tradition that was sorely missed last year. It kicked off with an outpouring of student engagement in decorating the hallways, followed by incredible and creative participation in our spirited dress downs, and a fun and safe Student Sunrise Tailgate Friday morning in the parking lot.

We could not have asked for a better day on Homecoming Saturday, as the sun was shining, we brought the Parade back to fire up the community, honored Teacher and Friend, Kathy Cooper as the Conrad Hall of Fame Inductee, and held our Homecoming Dance. This could not have happened without our fantastic staff, supportive parents, and amazing students.

Choice Open House

The Red Clay Choice Season will begin Monday, November 1st. If you know of a family who is considering Conrad for their child/children, please encourage them to visit Conrad's Website for information, as well as to follow our Instagram and Facebook accounts as it will give them a look into our school community during a Virtual Choice Season.

Advisory

Advisories have begun! Middle school started advisory this week, while the high school will begin the beginning of next week. Advisory occurs twice a week, a half hour each session, and are designed to meet the needs of all of our students. These are interest-based and student selected, which include support opportunities (applying for college), life skills (building good credit), and creative arts (music and art). We are proud to offer these opportunities to our entire student body within our school day.

Mission- Conrad Schools of Science… teaching life science and life lessons in a kind and inclusive environment, inspiring students and improving the world.

Vision- Conrad Schools of Science will empower students to achieve their goals and impact the community.
