Who can attend?

You are capable of going to school in France when you turn 4 years old, you would attend a preschool. In France kindergarten is optional, but in the U.S. it's mandatory.

The Expenses of School in France

Most kids in France attend local schools, which are free. Schooling is also free in France unless you are older than 16 or you go to a bilingual schools that have cost.

The school week in France

In France you aren't expected to have fun at school, they usually don't have school teams. They go to school for about 24 hrs a week, starting at 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. . Where I go to school we start at 8:00 a.m. and go until 3 p.m. . They get an hour and a half lunch and they can return home for lunch.

Interesting Facts

France determines your grade level by your birth date between January 1 between December 1. Also it's interesting how most schools don't have sports teams. There lunch consist of starter, main meal, dessert and cheese; costs for this vary.
