School is back in session!

The 2021-2022 school year is off to an active start! Students have arrived with their luggage, waved goodbye to their parents, and settled into their dorms. The campus has been alive with the happy shouts of roommates being reunited, faculty welcoming back students, and teammates excited for their first practices. Classes are underway and a shared sense of optimism marks the start of the fall semester!

With the campus coming back to life, the alumni office is looking forward to welcoming alumni visitors to campus! If you are planning a visit to the area, and would like to stop by and say "hello," please let us know your plans in advance by contacting any member of the alumni office or emailing alumni@williston.com. For the well-being of our community and other visitors, we ask that prior to your visit you fill out this form. Notes from Campus

We are barely three weeks into the fall semester and already, so much has happened. Read Head of School Robert W. Hill III's letter to the alumni community, then click through the following links to meet new faculty and watch Convocation speakers, including our new Dean of Faculty (and '99 alumna) Corie Fogg and senior class president Sarah Markey '22. See what's happening in art, theater, music, Writers' Workshop, and athletics. Scroll through our Flickr galleries to feel like you're right here with us on campus!

Alumni News and Events

The return of in-person alumni events! Can you believe that Reunion 2019 was the last time we held an alumni event on campus? We can't believe it ourselves! And while our virtual events in '20 and '21 connected alumni from around the globe, we are excited to be planning in-person gatherings once again. While catching up with classmates and friends on campus or in your part of the country may look slightly different, we are looking forward to seeing many of you in person.

Check our alumni events page as we add dates for 2021-2022 events, both online and in-person! Sign-ups are still open for our Virtual "Pints and Pancakes" 5K! Join from anywhere and send us photos by 9/26 to win prizes. Save the date Wednesday night, October 20, and join us via Zoom to meet our newest deans and hear about their first months and next plans. We've got career content on tap for November, and a return to in-person events in December with our popular holiday celebrations! For those who still love a good Zoom catch-up, you can request a class call by contacting the alumni office.

As performing arts return, so do opportunities to catch some alumni artists: Shawn Amos '86 is at the Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY on October 10, and Ashley Gearing '09 is about to hit the road with her new project, The Wildcards. For fans of modern art (and letterpress prints), if you're in the Bay Area, head to the Presidio to see Uncovered: The Artists of Arion Press, curated by Tamsin Smith '84. If you've got a show, exhibit, or performance coming up soon, send us your news by emailing jstern@williston.com!

We look forward to welcoming visitors to campus again, but please note: If you are planning a visit, please let us know your arrival plans in advance (email alumni@williston.com or call 413-529-3301). For the well-being of our campus community and other visitors, we also ask that you complete this form prior to your visit.
