July 2016 - January 2017

One of our main objectives is to ensure we are always delivering the best employee experience by providing a smooth interaction between user and technology. In July 2016, we launched the ‘Need Help?’ tool to better equip managers and employees with the ability to self-manage their day to day People Resources operations. During the last 6 months, we released over 40 walkthrus (step by step guidance) and 100 smart tips (on screen explanations for different elements).

Your input was the fuel of each launch and the voice of the customers was the foundation for each feature. We focused on transforming the ‘how to’ questions into interactive, easy to follow steps. Of course, each journey means evaluation, planning and vision. Therefore, in the next couple of weeks, we will be looking at the ‘Need Help?’ story, its impact and flexibility. For now, we are highly involved in testing each walkthru, ensuring its optimal functionality. So if you have any comments, feedback or ideas, we would love to hear your thoughts on it!

Rewards Check-In

A strong cross functional effort led to a smooth merit review process without any major hitch. The Data Operations team focused on the TRAX inquiries and the Technology Operations team handled all the Change Job & Request Compensation transactions in Workday with the same objective in mind: ensure the right synergy between customers and systems. A temporary control measure was implemented in Workday which made the Tech Ops team the final approvers for all the potential impactful changes (salary change, job code). Through this additional check, we were able to understand the context of the change submitted in Workday and ensure the Rewards Tool is reflecting the data in due time based on the input received from our managers.

In Q2 of 2016, we started the Data Integrity Initiative project, where we implemented a process to ensure data audits were being run on a global scale, and on a specific schedule in order to ensure a high level of data integrity. As a result, this year’s data (transferred from Workday to Rewards Tool) was by far the cleanest and the number of manual changes applied, decreased considerably. We have received a great feedback from our stakeholders on the accuracy of the information which can only make us look forward to the next steps. More to come! Stay tuned!

Letters automatization

Another innovative solution which aims to transform the way we perform our usual tasks is the letters automatization (generated by Workday). In order to make it easy, quick, efficient for our customers, and enhance the Self Service, we worked on understanding the regional requirements and designed the framework.

As a result, we are now piloting this Workday capability for India and America while working on defining the plan for EMEA and JAPAC.

The following letters are available in Workday, for India region, to be ran by the ERC Generalists:

  • Employment Proof (Standard Verification of Employment)
  • Address Proof
  • Experience Letter

Stay tuned for Workday V.28 which will be released in February 2017. More to come!

Closing with one more exciting piece of news: starting with FY’17, all Adobe cellphones will have Workday preinstalled, which will encourage and facilitate the usage from a mobile device. In December 2016, desktop remained the main source of accessing Workday, mobile devices representing a little over 3.5%.

It is our pleasure to present you Hanume Gowda, who joined our Technology Operations team in November 2016.

Hanume was previously part of the Adobe Talent Operations team.

Before Adobe, he was employed with First Advantage (3 years) and managed the Background verification process.

A graduate with majors in Economics, Hanume enjoys reading biographies and mythology books, dancing, sports and traveling.

We are glad to have him onboard and we wish him all the best.
