Freedom Riders- They were civil rights activist who rode interstate buses into the segregated southern United States

Civil Rights Act- a landmark piece of civil rights and U.S. labor law legislation in the United States that outlawed discrimination based on color, race, religion, sex, or national origin.

Malcom X- An African American Muslim minister and human rights activist

Vietnam War- Resistance war against America or simply the American War.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr- An American Babtist minister and activist who was a leader in the African American Civil Rights movement.

Black Panthers- An African American revolutionary party. Original purpose was to protect African Americans from police brutality.

Watergate- political scandals in the 1970s.

Soul Train- American musical variety television program which aired from 1971 to 2006.

Apartheid- A policy or system in South Africa of segregation or discrimination on grounds of race.
