RAID 7 REFLECTION
Last week I did my presentation on raid 7. For this raid I decided to draw the Spirit of Detroit statue, mostly because it is close to home as well as iconic. It took me about 40 minutes to complete the drawing and another hour or so to create the video and put it on youtube.
- LOOK UP SPIRIT OF DETROIT PICTURES AND ANALYZE
- SKETCH THE WALL, THEN THE BODY, THEN ADD DETAILS
- COLOR IN THE BODY AND DETAILS
- WRITE THE BIBILE VERSE
- USE DARKER COLORS TO CREATE SHADOWING
- UPLOAD VIDEOS
- USE ADOBE PREMIERE TO CREATE
- UPLOAD TO YOUTUBE
- EXACT COLORS
- HEAD TILT ON THE BODY
- MUSCLE FEATURES
HABITS OF MIND
This raid required two habits of mind in my process. The first is creativity. I needed creativity to think about what I would draw and how I would draw it. I also needed creativity to think about how I would present the piece. I decided to speed up the video to a time-lapse of my process. I also needed flexibility as I was trying to figure out Adobe Premiere. This was a challenge for me because I have never used it before but I had to remain flexible with the tools on the program and I eventually figured it out.
MY FINAL PIECE
I overall enjoyed this raid because it gave me an opportunity to use my artistic ability in a class that I would not expect to use it in. Also, it opened me up to the adobe programs and has sparked a curiosity in how to use them. I have been playing around with Premiere and hope to gain more experience with it.
