uif rec studio is a community-based nonprofit multimedia studio located in downtown wayne, pa.

our mission is to create and produce original content that can be used to teach, mentor, and promote the activities that enrich the lives of individuals and organizations in the Greater Philadelphia Area.

we are looking for a social media/associate producer to join our media team in a paid internship program.

can you write catchy copy for tv? can you find and pre-interview guests?

if you answered yes, then our paid internship program is a unique opportunity for you to work with communications experts, entrepreneurs, and other students.

responsibilities

  • Writing, producing, copy editing for weekly programs
  • Researching, contacting, and pre-interviewing guests for weekly programs
  • Writing introductions and copy for weekly programs
  • Social Media Management
  • Maintain a detailed calendar and library of communication material

requirements

  • Attention to detail and a genuine love for storytelling through words and pictures, coupled with excellent writing skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Pursuing BS/BA or Associates related to English, Communication, Media Studies, Journalism, Marketing
  • Working knowledge of basic video editing and photography
  • Fluent computer skills
  • At least 3 writing samples to demonstrate your skills in social media, script writing, and storytelling

educational requirements

  • 18 years of age or older and enrolled in a college or university with an interest in one of the following: Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Multimedia Communications.
  • A minimum of 20 hours per week with a maximum of 30 hours per week at $12/hr
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
