#TogetherMV

One neighbor on Sierra Vista is looking for others to join with communities across the Bay Area to let off steam, safely, during the Stay at Home order.

What are the best ways you've seen Mountain View band together to show support for their neighbors? Neighborhoods continue to come together to spread love and hope to community members.

Want to share how your neighbors are showing and bringing hope while we shelter in place? Email your photos and stories to katie.nelson@mountainview.gov.

Caltrain Temporary At-Grade Crossing Closures at Castro Street & Rengstorff Avenue

Within the next two weeks, as part of the Caltrain Electrification Project, Caltrain will be performing pole foundation installation work at night that will require temporary closures of the two at-grade crossings. Caltrain has determined that this project is essential infrastructure consistent with Santa Clara County’s Shelter-in-Place Order.

The crossing closures include:

  • Castro Street railroad crossing to vehicle traffic on April 11, 13, and 17 from 9pm to 5am
  • Rengstorff Avenue railroad crossing to vehicle and pedestrian traffic on April 16 from 9pm to 5am

During construction, crews will provide crossing access to Emergency First Responders. Detour routes will be provided for other traffic.

Parking Reminder

In an effort to slow the spread of coronavirus, parking enforcement and abandoned vehicles are not being checked while we shelter in place.

Please note, this is in an effort to encourage people to stay indoors, so that we can all do our part to flatten the curve.

Please, stay home. Stay safe. Save lives.

Solid Waste Reminder

Effective today, Monday, April 6, through the end of the Shelter-in-Place order, Recology will not service material outside of residents’ carts in order to limit exposure to drivers.

Residents may not set out extra bags of trash or extra recycling outside of the carts. Residents can request an additional service if needed before their next collection day. See the guidelines here.
