What is Creative Problem Solving?

Creative Problem Solving(CPS) is a 6-step process that 25 Innovation Coaches at EQT are now certified to facilitate. CPS in its truest form is a 6-step process that looks like this:

Sessions can include some or all of these steps, or none at all.

The needs at EQT do not always provide an opportunity to exercise all 6 steps in the process, so with the skillset acquired through the certification, coaches have made a number of adjustments to facilitate over 60 sessions in the last two years.

How can Innovation Coaches help you?

Innovation Coaches have facilitated over 35 sessions this year alone, and they don't always stick to the script. Coaches have continually demonstrated their flexibility in facilitation skills allowing them to accomplish the goal/wish by straying off the path, when necessary.

Voice of the Customer - For Corporate IT & Data Management

These sessions have proved to be very helpful in gathering feedback from across EQT on what’s working, what’s not, and what desired results look like. A variety of coaches have helped to lead these sessions. One client, Matt Putila, SR Director, IT said:

Focus groups – to review customer feedback – for EQT, this has included LeasingMyLand, and a variety of sessions to help evaluate Innovation Communication.

Strengthening a Solution (between groups)

In this particular session, a solution was in use by one group and was presented to another group to evaluate if it would also work for their group. These sessions were led by Innovation Coach, Travis Canterbury in the SouthPoint office. Client Rick Quinlan had to say this about the sessions:
