Lakshmi Hindu gods

Lakshmi is the Goddess of wealth and prosperity, both material and spiritual.

Lakshmi is the partner of Vishnu. Every time Vishnu has come to earth as an avatar, Lakshmi, in various forms, has come too.

Lakshmi and Vishnu

Lakshmi is worshipped during the festival of Divali, the Festival of Lights marking the Hindu new year.

During this celebration Hindus will clean up their homes, wear new clothes and light up their houses in an effort to welcome Lakshmi to bring good fortune to the year ahead

According to some legends, Lakshmi emerged during the creation of universe, floating over the water on the expanded petals of a lotus flower.

In some versions, she is said to be daughter of the sea god since she emerged from the sea.

Would We Worship Lakshmi?

She brings success to hard working and dedicated people who call on her. I feel like the hard work that often goes unseen would be able to be rewarded by Lakshmi. Therefore I would worship her

I would worship Lakshmi because she would bring me success in the work I put in for the things I do such as soccer

I would rather worship someone who is not directly related to something such as wealth, as it could be seen as greedy.
