Setting up your FireStick 4k or 2nd gen

The following screen capture tutorial will take you through the simple steps necessary to jailbreak Firestick.

Step 1: go to the home screen of your Firestick by clicking on the home button on the remote control

Step 2: place the cursor on the menu item Settings

Step 3 - Click on Preferences

Step 4: click on Privacy Settings; You may not see any of these options on previous Fire TV devices or systems that have not been updated, if so, see How to install the alternative app store below.

Step 5: Disable both "Device usage data" and "Collect application usage data"

Go back to previous screen by clicking back button on remote after changing these settings to “Off”.

Step 6: click on Data Monitoring

Step 7: turn off data monitoring

Note: If you are using a newer Fire TV / Stick, you will access the "Application usage data" section by browsing Settings / Preferences / Fire TV privacy settings. I would also suggest going to the "Data monitoring" tab and deactivating that option as well.

Step 8: click on the Back button, return to the previous screen and click on My Fire TV

Step 9 - Click on Developer Options

Step 10: click on applications from unknown sources

Enable ADB debugging and applications from unknown sources

Step 11 - Click on the Activate button

Click on Activate. You have now successfully configured your fight for IPTV and the third party application sideload.
