Madison Logan opened the scoring with her second goal of the season for Nipissing. 10 minutes later, rookie Lauren de Jong scored the first goal of her U SPORTS career on a long-range strike, tucking the ball just under the crossbar.

RMC's best chance came from a scramble in front of the Nipissing goal, but the Lakers defenders were able to keep the ball out of their net.

Halftime

Nipissing led 2-0 after 45 minutes.

After Paladins keeper Claudia Rusu was caught out of the net, RMC defender Kate LaFleur shut down the promising Nipissing attack by blocking a sure goal.

Despite holding the Lakers scoreless in the second half, RMC fell 2-0 to the visitors from North Bay.

The Paladins will travel to play Trent (0-2-2) and UOIT (1-3) next week.
