Metrolink Site Visit with PPD Distinguished Fellow Art Leahy, Metrolink CEO

UCI MURP students visited Metrolink facilities in Los Angeles on April 14, 2017, as part of the PPD Distinguished Fellows program. Art Leahy, Metrolink's Chief Executive Officer, is a Distinguished Fellow for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Mr. Leahy and his colleagues gave the students a full-day view into the world of transportation planning. The agenda included presentations from Mr Leahy, as well as from Roderick Diaz, Director of Planning and Development; Anthony (Neil) Brown, Program Manager, Fleet Equipment; James Thurston-Chalenor, Human Resources Analyst, as well as connections with other Metrolink staff over lunch. In the afternoon, the Mr. Brown provided Tier IV locomotive tours and Luis Carrasquero, PTC Systems Manager, demonstrated a train simulator tool.

Many thanks to CEO Leahy, and all who took part at Metrolink, for sharing your experience and providing this opportunity for the students.

Second-year MURP student Nancy Lo - kudos for coordinating an incredible site visit with Metrolink!
