Is youR EPC Band F or G? Take action now!

  • MEES (the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards) are now law.
  • According to government data 25% of properties in England and Wales have an EPC rating of band E or below
  • As of April 2016 tenants can request their landlord make energy efficiency improvements to a property. If this can be delivered with no upfront cost then the landlord cannot “unreasonably refuse”
  • From 2018 you will not be able to issue a new tenancy agreement on Band F or G properties
  • From 2020 you will not be able to rent any Band F or G properties even those with existing tenants

Many properties can be brought up to a Band E with low cost measures such as:

  • LED light bulbs
  • Heating controls
  • Loft insulation

We can.......

  1. Analyse your existing stock to determine which properties may need measures installing.
  2. Produce an up to date EPC for your portfolio to include any existing improvements carried out.
  3. Advise which measures will give the greatest increase in EPC Rating and energy saving
  4. Access funding that may be available to assist the landlord with any costs
  5. Manage the installation process for any energy efficiency measures.
  6. Issue a free EPC following the installation of the energy efficiency measures.
  7. Help you to improve your properties which could lead to an increase in tenant retention.
