Golden Gate Dog Park San Francisco, CA

We rarely go to Golden Gate Park because it's in the middle of the city and on nice weekends parking seems impossible. But then the husky group had a meeting here so we decided to check it out.

This park is one big open dirt field.

This is definitely one of the most no frills park we've seen, which is a-OK by us because...

THERE'S A PARKING LOT!!!

Mom gets very excited about these kind of things...and this was a pleasant surprise.

Since the park is in Golden Gate Park, there are people horse back riding around, which gets me very excited! There were also some buffalo's grazing in the field next door when we visited. I don't really jump fences so it's ok for me - I could only run back and forth, but if you have a real escape artist there are some parts where the fence is pretty low, so be careful!

I smell horses!!!

When we visited it was right after 2 days of rain (and just earlier that morning!) and it wasn't muddy at all.

If you live in this part of the city, you're lucky to be near such a great park. For everyone else, it's worth a visit if your fur-baby needs to burn some energy.
