3D Printing By nick

My design is a Cubs logo. I wanted to sports team logo from Chicago, and I chose Cubs. The story behind this is the Cubs won the World Series a couple of months, and I made a Cubs logo to celebrate. One of my ideas that I showed was my design on Photoshop which is on the screen right now. I actually looked up just Chicago team logos.

I drew lines so the eyes and nose will connect. I made sure the design wasn't too big. I had a different Cubs but I deleted from Photoshop and chose a Cubs head. If the Cubs head's eyes and nose fell out there would be no face.

I had to make sure everything was connected. You have to make sure the design is not too big, and I had to choose a filament and I chose dark blue. My design needed to be in black and white.

First I had to chose a filament, next I made sure the design was not big. There is a socket where you put the filament in. I had to use a knife to peel it on the filament, then I cut off the edges.

First I looked up a Cubs logo. Then I saved it in my file. Then I opened up Photoshop. Then dragged it into Photoshop. First chose a filament and stick it in the sockets. Check it on the screen of a computer. Then start to print. The exciting part was when I got to take it with me after printing. The boring part was trying to get everything to connect. What I learned about 3D printing is the design can't be bigger than the filament.

My project turned out great, because nothing fell out. I was expecting it to be bigger but the way it looks it's fine. I looked up a big picture but I made smaller. I am very proud of how it was printed not looking like a faceless logo. What I could do is do it in a different color. What was difficult was finding a black and white logo.
