Yearning For His Word Heaven and earth [as now known] will pass away, but My words will not pass away. - Matthew 24:35 (AMP)

Time spent in God's Word is so precious. These past couple of days I have been yearning to read my Bible and spend that time with God. I haven't made that time lately and I really need to. At the moment I'm learning how to balance my online classes and other aspects of my life. As I'm writing right now I realize that maybe reading His Word is the missing link to the balance I am so desperately craving. I am learning that God's Word definitely deserves and needs to be my foremost priority. Not being in the Word makes me realize how much more I need it because it refreshes my soul. I mean, I get bits and pieces of His Word from my theology class, but I need that personal time set aside to breathe it all in. I'm so grateful that I have matured in my relationship with God to know what a blessing Scripture is in my life. As I step back in thought and realize the impact God's Word has in my life I'm amazed. I'm amazed because I notice the difference and what a powerful difference it has in my life. God's Word brings instruction, peace, and wisdom; all of which I treasure. I endure each day by God's grace and I am empowered through the truth of Scripture. Scripture makes a difference in my life and it is such an amazing gift from God. In the beginning of the year I had made my goal or resolution for the year to crave God more than I ever have before. This yearning within me for His Word is the encouragement I need to pursue God even more. The Holy Spirit's prompting is such a blessing as well! Okay, enough about talking about reading God's Word, I'm going to actually spend time in it now. Blessings!

But Jesus replied, “It is written and forever remains written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God.’” - Matthew 4:4 (AMP)
