ICHO 2015

IChO or the International Chemistry Olympiad is an annual international event where contestant will pit their knowledge of Chemistry against each other.

I participated in the Chemistry Olympiad selection team last year, not expecting anything

Checking in for training at University of Malaya

Our first chemistry test subject (just kidding!)

Getting lucky in the trainings

I went for 3 phases of training and selection, but there were more

The first test was a MCQ test where students nationwide who are eligible for the Olympiad can participate

Out of all the students, they will select around 200 students for a 5 hours written test (if I remember correctly)

I went for the third test consisting of one week of lab training at University of Malaya. However, that was the furthest that I could get

IChO is not all about serious studying

We also had fun

Sabotaging each other

Or even chilling with computer games

And when you can't answer the test, just write in Korean!

However to enter IChO you must be prepared beyond your A-Levels, STPM, Asasi

But if you think you are good enough, you can give it a try. Who knows... you might end up representing the country

4 of us here actually went to Azerbaijian

But even if you didn't, at least you get to see the NMR machine

The best part is, there are always seniors who will bring you to the makan places around

They are even nice enough to come to Sunway to promote IChO

So what are you waiting for? Sign up for IChO now!

We can't wait to see you like this
