Armenia is a very beautiful country. We visited its capital Yerevan. Yerevan is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Its a very nice city, quite, and had a relaxing vibe to it. Armenians are people that take pride in there traditions, customs and culture, They are really accommodating and nice people to be around.
We visited Armenia in the summer of 2016. The weather there had a nice breeze and wasn't that cold. It was perfect weather to us, As we preferred it to be a little cold and not snowy. We stayed in the Marriott in yerevan and it was in the center of the city. We used to get up in the morning and go to the local shops that had great restaurants for a nice morning breakfast.
We went to the "Wings of Tatev", Its a cableway that is between Halidzor and the Tatev monastery in Armenia. It was all directed in the mountains and had a lot stations and every station you reach takes you to a higher point. We really had fun in this Cable way and the view of the large snowy mountains was incredible to experience.
Armenian food is quite similar to Turkish food. Armenian's despise turkish people, They have a bad history with them, But at the same time the two country's food are really similar but with the difference of just the name. We ate everyday in a different restaurant and Armenians have tasty dishes to serve, And they serve there foods with Basel juice that is really delicious, It taste like a really concentrated mint and served cold as a soda.
All in All, Armenia is a really wonderful country. Its has really accommodating people that love to serve and make you comfortable. Its mountains are alluring and make the city look amazing from a high point. I recommend Yerevan to any traveler as it joins a modern culture with old. The city has its low points however, as its crime rate is high to some extent, But the people will not harm you or do anything to you unless you made them do.
