Macbeth By: molly bacH

Macbeth receives a prophecy from a trio of witches who predict that he will become Throne of Cawdor & "King hereafter." His wife, Lady Macbeth, urges him to seize the opportunity & take the throne. One night, Macbeth murders King Duncan in his sleep, then frames the guards for their crime.
Macbeth's best friend, Banquo, was present for the witches prophecy & realizes that Macbeth is responsible for King Duncan's murder. To protect himself Macbeth has Banquo killed. Fleance, Banquos son, escapes & is prophesied to become king.
Duncans sons Malcolm & Donalbain flee Scotland, where they begin plotting against Macbeth. Overcome with remorse of the murder of King Duncan, lady Macbeth commits suicide.
Macbeth realizes he is doomed, he continues to fight until Macduff kills & beheads him. Malcolm, now the king of Scotland, declares his intentions for the country & invites everyone to see him crowned at Scone.
