Chicken Noodle soup

Today I am going to make chicken noodle soup, the reason why I chose this soup because it is so cold right now, which is perfect to have soup. I got a story about this soup. In Laos where I am from, people always eat noodle soup for lunch or dinner and sometimes for breakfast. I am in Canada right now, so when I miss home, I will make this soup because it makes me feel like I am at home again.

Recipe

Chicken Stock

Noodle

White or Black pepper 1/2Tsp

Chinese vegetable ( Buk Chiy)

Bean Sprouts

Sugar 1 Tsp

Salt 1 Tsp

Fish Sauce

Ginger

Onion ½

Chili Flakes ½ Tsp

For me I got some challenges, it is hard to find good ingredients most of ingredients here are not fresh, but I was successful at making this soup the taste was good, but the taste in my country is better.

The soup tastes like chicken and vegetables. It is very good. I love it

I let somebody tried my soup, she said it was good, she loved it, but there is one thing she does not like is too much vegetables

I learned something from this soup is I should have put more water because this time I did not put enough for water, which made my soup sticky

My name is Souksavanh, but I go by Lam. I am 28 years old and I am from Laos.

To be a chef is a great job and I have always wanted to be a chef because I love travelling. I want to see the whole world and learn about other cultures, try new food and learn new languages . Therefore, being a chef is a perfect job for me because I can do all these things and earn money while I am traveling. Most jobs people cannot do all these things and earn money at the same time.

Most people do not know Lao food, they only know Thai food or Chinese food. I believe that people will try Lao food and love it and that is why I want to open a Lao and Canadian fusion restaurant in Canada, so people will get to try Lao food and learn about Laos.

.This is my first time creating a Blog. I hope I can get more knowledge from other people. I have been working for a Thai Restaurant in Toronto, Canada and I really want to share what I have learned with other people.

My cooking philosophy:

I believe people should try all the food from around the world because there are still many things that we do not know. We can use new recipes to create new dishes.

I really like this culinary blog because there are so many new dishes that I can learn how to make and there are many kinds of food from around the world. This is what I need for my career. I can use this website and learn how to create new dishes in my style. They did a very good job because on their website, most dishes look healthy and nutritious.

What I do not like about this website is they did not give enough details on how to prepare the food.

The dish I tried today is BBQ Beef salad

It looks very difference from North American food. It tastes like steak, but is better than steak because is has more flavor with mint, chili, rice powder, fish sauce, and lemon juice. This dish is good with sticky rice.

It smells like mint, lemon juice, and a little bit of chili. When I bite it I heard the rice powder braking inside my month with lemon juice.

It similar to beef steak with black pepper sauce, but except it has spice and sour taste.

How is this food unique?

This dish is very famous in Thailand, but most people there eat it with stream rice. Which is not bad, but it taste better with sticky rice and that is where I came from.

We love spicy food there. We both love salad, so we tried to create some thing new. Therefore is dish is perfect for us because is inexpensive to make and it wont take us long to cook.

I learned something very new and great. For example, like this dish, it is ok to eat with stream rice, but is better to eat with sticky, so I need to learn more about food because people can create many new dishes, but we still need to learn what we should eat with.

I really love this dish. It made me feel amazing, full, last me long and it made me feel like home again.

I would love to eat it again because I love it. It stops me from missing home.

I found the taste of beef here is not the same as my back home. I think beef here is better.

I think we should keep trying new foods. I have had some food like dish in my country, but it taste very different, when I tried it changed me to think about my food and it makes me want to create something new and it makes me want to improve my own dishes too.
