A revolution in farming methods led to a sharp increase in population, and many people moving from the country to the city looking for work

Meanwhile, we were just beginning to discover the effects of coal and the improvements on iron

As population continued to increase demand for goods grew and supplies needed to find ways to produce more

New machines used to spin and weave cloth for housed and factories that allowed the workers to produce goods at a much higher rate than before

Steam power and iron used to create the first railroad which, helped people and products to Getronics place to place much faster. Canals, steam boats and turnpikes also added to transportation network

Positive and negative effects on society

The industrial revolution had lots of positive effects on society. There were lots of new jobs created and goods became more affordable to more people. People also started living longer and could travel from place to place much easier.

There were also many negative effects. Child labor was widespread and accidents in factories were common. Cities became overcrowded and sanitation was horrible.

Present: Digital revolution


Historians argue about the precise onset of the Industrial Revolution, the last period of such profound and widespread change. Although, The first computer was initially one of the first revolutionary developments laying down the foundation for telecoms liberalisation, the rollout of broadband access, cheap mobile phones, cloud computing, and more recently social media. Also, a compleatly new industry in technology, new jobs, and a better way to store information then a filing cabinet.

Users could send messages and post bulletin board items to people in their first, second, and third degrees, and see their connection to any other user on the site. It was one of the first manifestations of social networking websites in the format now seen today. This causing people to get newer and newer technology to keep up with social media.

Technological developments

As the demand for computers grew new and more advanced ones were made they became more dependable, much more portable, but more expensive. Also allowed new things like email, google, YouTube, video chat, to better help people communicate, and learn.

Mobile phones now a lot more portable than before allowing people to take them anywhere with ease. Entertainment for all users and saving numbers without having to right them down, and longer periods of time without a charger being able to find information and store it.

Social media today is a widespred fenominom used by milllions upon millions of people to express opinions and promoting businesses and is used often by the president of our United States and played a huge role in his campaign.

The digital revolution had many posotive effects on society. We can communicate with anyone in the world and form relationships with people who are some distance away, increased automation of manufacturing and many other jobs, thanks to computers, means greater efficiency, less people doing boring repetitive jobs, and an increase in flexibility regarding work times, and The entertainment industry has experienced a revolution.

The digital revolution had many negative effects on society aswell. Human relations are diminished in the virtual world, Human beings are less and less valued in the workplace as their roles are replaced by computers, and Intellectual property theft and piracy have made it more and more difficult for creative people to make any money from their output.

Future: technololigical revolution

Pollution from fossils fuels are imitating carbon dioxide into the air affecting our food and wildlife all over the world. Plus, at the rate we are getting rid of fossils fuels we will be out by the year 2088

Humans are not fitting the needs of getting enough products out to consumers quick enough, having accidents in factories, and are costing companies to lead to bankruptcy.

Driving accidents today are very common and often lead to fatal injuries. Drunk, tired, and distracted drivers continue to get behind the wheel causing a huge industry for insurance companies. Finnaly , People not being able to go to work in rural areas due to their cars being in shops.

Technological developments

Now with fossils fuels obsolete there is no other option than renewable energy creating a huge market of investors and tons of new jobs. Cleaner energy now helping the environment helping farmers for healthier plants. New types of renewable energy being invented aswell. Such as the searaser that uses the waves currents to produce renewable energy.

Robots will now have supased human intelligence taking over most jobs but will produce products more efficiently and cheaper then the average worker. Products will be cheaper allowing anyone to get them, the average life span will be longer and population will increase. Also, are cheaper for all companies to use.

Self driving cars are now much safer for drunk, distracted, and tired drivers, allowing them to get place to place safely resulting in less car related deaths. Insurance companies won't be able to charge as much with this new safe system so more money in consumers pocket. A new market is created with entrepreneurs investing. Also, making buss and companies like mechanic shops going out of business because cars are affordable and less likely in the shop getting fixed.
