"for brave Macbeth- well he deserves that name- Disdaining Fortune, with his brandished steel." 1.2.16-17

This quote is inferring that Macbeth deserves this higher title because he is a brave and courageous warrior.

Act 1

"That I may pour my spirits in thine ear, And chastise with the valor of my tongue."1.5.24-25

Lady Macbeth taunts Macbeth for his lack of courage to bet faith in becoming the king.

Act 2

"Will all great Neptune's ocean wash this blood Clean from my hand? No; this my hand will rather The multitudinous seas incarnadine," 2.3.59-61

Macbeth feels guilty and feels as if he cant clean his hands from the deed he has done.

Act 2

"a little water clears us of this deed." 2.2.65

Lady Macbeth doesn't expect any of the guilt that is behind this deed. She feels as if she can wash away the deed that's been done.

Act 3

"This is the very painting of your fear. This is the air-drawn dagger which, you said, Led you to Duncan." 3.4.60-63

Macbeth is showing his fear of getting caught for killing Banquo, by hallucinating.

Act 3

"Nought's had, all's spent, Where our desire is got without content;" 3.2.4-7

Lady Macbeth feels as if they haven't really gained anything, even though they got what they wanted, they cant be truly happy.

Act 4

"Now i see 'tis true; For the blood-bolted Banquo smiles upon me, and points at them for his."

Macbeth finally sees and believes that Banquos decadents will become king. He is worried about what the future for himself holds.

(Lady Macbeth is not in Act 4)

Act 5

"Whats he That was not born of women? Such a one Am i to fear, or none?"5.7.2-4

Macbeth feels invincible against Macduff.

Act 5

"Out, dammed spot! Out, I say." 5.1.31

Lady Macbeth is suffering from guilt, she cant get the imagine of the blood on her hands.
