Vincent Van Gogh Amelia adams

Vincent Van Gogh, a painting legend. He is one of the most successful artist known today, millions of dollars have been used to buy his paintings.
Born in 1853, Van Gogh grew up in a very religious dutch family. He moved around often, and had several different jobs before finally becoming an artist. He was a teacher, art dealer, and priest.
Van Gogh created many pieces, but he only sold one during his lifetime. Some of his most famous paintings being "The Starry Night", "Irises", "Cafe terrace at night", and "Potato Eaters".
Van Gogh admitted himself into a mental asylum, after cutting off his ear lobe to send to his ex wife. Van Gogh had problems with depression, bipolar issues, and seizures. He also had lead poisoning, because he would drink yellow paint, believing it was a happy color.
Van Gogh was unadmitted from the hospital after about a year, and moved in with a friend. After living there for a few months, he went out on the back porch, and shot himself. He died two days later, on July 29th, 1880.
Vincent Van Gogh was a man with a difficult journey. Through art, he found a way to relax and find himself through his art. His art now hangs in museums all around the world.
