Elements of Arts by Wenting Yang

Lines

We saw each other on the street

but our life are like two parallel lines

Never cross, never meet

Color

without light, there is no color

no beauty, no creativity

Only with a lonely night

with darkness, and blindness

Value

Value is complicated

it is the range of light to dark

people tries to duplicated

but it is not only white to black

TEXTURE

Texture is what you feel

with what you touch

some soft some hard

some smooth some rough

FORM

Form is 3 dimensional

is encloses volume

is all around the world

even you and me

are together and form

SHAPES

everything has its shape

but they are 2 dimensional

alike but different

with what you see and what you touch

SPACES

Be free, like the sky

with the only cloud

and only space to set yourself free
