What we are learning
Math: This week we will focus on: rectilinear figures, review for the Unit 4 test, take the test, and complete a watch-think-color.
Writing: Students will complete a K.W.O. on the passage The Dove and the Ant and complete a retell of the passage.
Grammar: The focus will be on helping verbs.
Reading: The students will read and discuss the trickster tale"Tops and Bottoms" along with taking the Mid-Year reading test.
Fundations: We will begin Unit 6 this week. The focus will be on open syllable and the open syllable exceptions.
IMPORTANT Dates:
January 6th: December Read Now Calendars are due.
January 13th: Report Cards go home
January 16th: No School; Martin Luther King Birthday
January 17th: Return signed report card envelope
